okay. i don't need a safe because the point of the locker is just to prevent someone from casually handling my weapons, as if my nieces and nephews came over and for some reason no one was looking at what they were doing and they were rummaging through my stuff. it's not to prevent a determined person from getting them, because i do not have a worry about that. and i don't wan to spend a lot of money on it because it's not a concern i have, and most of all, i don't want to lug a 500lb hunk of steel that is fireproof for an hour at 1400 degrees or whatever around my house to get it in position in a closet . i'm just saying a "locked safe" is different than a "locked cabinet".

in regards to vegas i assume they have permanently stationed snipers on roofs up there now; they got lots of money and they don't want that ever happening again. you don't even have to scan for threats, you just have to be ready to go if it starts happening. you can sit around playing video games for 8 hours every day with extremely low chance of every having to do anything and even less of a chance of having to face fire yourself. what a great job really. and that's what we can do there. you're right, it does sound insane to bring a rifle to a country concert just in case

Just a guess here...but for the GOP in Florida to be raising the age limit on gun purchases and now supporting the ban on AR-15's....they must be shitting bricks over the elections.

Indeed. Assault rifles are appropriately named as they are weapons of war and are not fit for the owning by citizens. That they are so owned in the United States and are the weapon of choice for domestic terrorists is less a symptom of individual mental illness than it is of the social sickness of the United States.

That citizens are now surveilled without warrant and cannot take even a 4oz bottle of shampoo onto an airline because of the "war on terror" hysteria, yet are allowed to amass an arsenal of assault rifles and weapons of war that are continually used to slaughter citizens is well beyond mental instability. That is social psychopathic insanity.

good thing any assault rifle made after 1986 is already banned from sale in the US, and those that are pre-ban go for around $20K each and require extensive background checks in order to purchase even in private sales then, huh Hurf?
