I haven't been to Amsterdam before. Is it a historical place? Most of the time when I hear people talk about it they're talking about pot and sex. But then I don't see the point, because I can get pot in Berkeley and sex from girlfriend.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
If guns are not outlawed, the in-laws will have guns.

I think WA is having a vote on it as well.
Amsterdam is very beautiful and worth a visit for reasons beyond the vices. It's quaint. Canals run along every few streets in most neighborhoods, there are many cozy restaurants and cafes, pretty good food, some excellent historic sites, and the people are very friendly. Jordaan is probably the best neighborhood to stay in. Quiet but accessible, and lots of locals rent rooms to tourists so you can get the insider perspective on where to go, and how to get there (which is crucial since Amsterdam is pretty hard to navigate).
