Normally you file a police report when something happens. We need to protect both a victim who should be heard, and the accused against untruthful accusations. So how do we do that? You don't go to the media and make wild accusations the better half of 70 years after the event and then demand an investigation from a unit that doesn't even investigate not-federal crimes. Is a Supreme Court Justice not a figure appointed by the President, on the consent of the peoples elected representatives? Is this not, then, a political appointment that will involve claims untested by the court of law?

f**k off with this "It is so unfair!" bullshit. No, it isn't. When a prospective SC judge gets accused by three separate women of sexual assault, that is a conversation that is important to have, and in this day and age, thank the Lord Almighty, people are finally starting to realize that it happens. Alot. And that they don't have to stand idly by and hope the legal system will be able to prove it.

You know, I'm the first to admire well-constructed bullshit, but this "presumption of innocence" angle is so f**k I can't stand it. Galt wants to shift this conversation to accusations of demonic sex abuse in the 1980s, meanwhile we are talking about accusations that fit the pattern of sexual assaults that happen at every second frat party. And when people finally start doing something where they can - OUTSIDE THE COURT OF LAW - all these f**k reeeeeeees start going on about how they think the presumption of innocence in the public sphere is SO important (except for when talking about the Clintons or any other unsavoury folk they disagree with).
