Hold the referendum again and avoid all of this while looking like hypocrites and undermining democracy or...

Agree to May's horrendous plan or have a "hard brexit" - both of these have the potential to cause recession (hard arguably moreso).

hard brexit is the end of the UK

with hard brexit the border negotiations with the IRA that they had made years ago fall apart. the good friday agreement does allow for a referendum to see if they want to join with ireland... which i think it's clear they will. and then if that happens the scots will get uppity, again, and, like how the Bruce took over where Wallace left off, the second referendum will be the charm

We haven't put much stock in the Brits for a long time. They are a great American ally but not particularly useful to us. Our ties with Australia and New Zealand will continue and may even expand, since we quite like each other and the British being weirdly stupid at key times is not surprising.

Still, we keep the traditions and will continue with them, irrespective of what happens to the UK. That old lady will still be our head of state, etc.
