I like Rogan.

At this point I genuinely don't know if liberals or conservatives are worse. Probably conservatives on balance, but liberals are far from rational and take as dogma a lot of things that are insane or obviously untrue.

I have obtained EU citizenship and am stationing assets appropriately in case it's time to hit the door, which I fear may come in my lifetime. This country is on a STEEP downward trajectory and given the nature of political discourse and how moronic our citizens are, I suspect that will only accelerate.

Jonathan Haidt has a good book on how our emotions rule us, The Righteous Mind, that gives some good insights on why people are the way they are and how we address people to get past their emotions and talk to the small reasonable part of them

as we are in a time of deep distrust in institutions there will be a sea change soon to rebuild it, and likely it will be younger people but who? the problem is it's utmost importance to beat trump. nothing else matters compared to that prerogative
