using a brush with cream is way better. it helps stand the hairs up and gets the face ready for the trauma you are about to inflict upon it. and a saftey razor is better. it reduces irritation (one blade at a time touch your skin, not 5), it's less expensive for blades, and is more manly. it requires focus on the task at hand, but it allows you to return to the traditions of being a man. you can also recycle your saftey razor blades, because it's just steel, it's not steel encased in plastic that no one recycles

FAIR WARNING: the first time i shaved with a safety razor i messed up badly. i pushed like it was a cartridge. my face was a horror, blood everywhere, and then i thought i would use a styptic pencil to staunch the bleeding. but it was so much that my face became dehydrated and the skin tight about half hour later; i couldn't make facial expressions it was so bad. so i guess when you try it, let the head of the Merkur do the work for you. let it glide over. you're going to have to do a few passes with it to get it baby ass smooth but it's so worth it

i stopped shaving my whole face years ago, but i still use the safety razor to clean up my neck

As someone whose throat hairs grow in a million different insane directions, I've spent years having to choose between using an electric beard trimmer and letting the stubble remain, or getting horrific razor burn that makes me look like I have some medieval skin disease. I went with the stubble. But my life has been changed by norelco's OneBlade. It's an electric shaver that gets just as close a shave as real razors without ever having to actually scrape a sharp metal edge across your skin.



As far as my layman's eye can tell, there's nothing particularly amazing about the technology or design behind this thing, nor any reason why it couldn't have existed decades ago. But now that it exists, i can finally get a good shave without paying for it with 4 days of hideous razor burn.

Point being, I don't use any gillette products and have no reason to in the foreseeable future, so I don't care about this. And I wouldn't care anyway. They apparently think this ad is going to help their business out? Ok. Let me know if they invent an even better version of the OneBlade and if it's the superior option I will get one. Don't give a shit what ads they run.

In the spirit of equality, Gillette should do the same type spot for Toxic Femininity. The bitches shave themselves too, even more so.

I use DSC for my face and a Norelco OneBlade on my neck and crotch.

Since we covered shaving, I suppose we should move to shoes, watches and man-bags for the benefit of Dylan and NAB's points to impress. And perfume for men, so Saz can prance in place.
