Bernie's platform has diminished because everybody else is adopting the same progressive mantra to varying degrees. I think this will come down more on how they perform on stage. I think it'll come down to:
- Beto O' Rourke (Unknown quantity, Texas, white, younger male, pretty to look at for the masses)
- Klobuchar (relatively unknown nationally, midwest, has gumption as evidenced by rally in snow, probably able to go toe to toe with Trump, etc)
- Harris (Trying to straddle the three pillars of candidacy this election: identity, progressive economy, and anti-Trump vigor)
Personally I'd rather have Warren in there because her desire to help out "the forgotten man" is genuine, her substantive policy development and implementation is exhaustive, and she's damn smart. But I've seen her interview and I don't think she'll do well during any debates.
