i thought it was beneath the office of the presidency to even mention some local issue like that, and then to literally insert himself into it claiming the boy looked like what a theoretical son of his would look like was beyond obnoxious. it was a manifestation of his narcissism and his messiah complex, and his attempt to connect to most black people who is most certainly not like. his son would have been a son of privilege, like his daughters. he wouldn't be anything like trayvon, or most white people's sons for that matter. but he inserted himself into a local court case to make it about race, and it was beyond prejudicial to do that, and could have impacted the outcome (and arguably did, or at least, the local DA). and that was his goal, to impact the case (he said this before zimmerman was arrested) it was simply to be racially agitating on his part, if he was being politically shrewd, or just simply he was being narcissistic. probably both.
