It seems the rumours of a stroke and near-vegetative state are untrue.

Fidel Castro has proved he is not only alive but still kicking with a scathing attack on the "imperialist media" for spreading rumours that he was either dead or in a neuro-vegetative state.
Accompanying a photograph of him reading last Friday's edition of the Cuban Communist party newspaper, the 86-year-old revolutionary issued a personal health bulletin in which he described reports that he had suffered a stroke as "nonsense" and claimed he did not even suffer from headache

Fidel Castro's death will be no great loss to humanity when it comes, but it will be no great gain for Cuba either.

Raul Castro has not brought in the changes that many thought he would when he first took over as president.

The death of Fidel Castro will, ultimately, yield no great cause for celebration by the average Cuban citizen.

Fidel Castro is directly responsible for the murder of thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, of people.

It is no more vile to cheer for his death than it was to celebrate Hitler's or Stalin's.

Right, because Hitler and Stalin were similarly responsible for perhaps as many as tens of thousands of murders.

It's insane to even put Castro in the same category as those two.
