trump himself threatened the life of the whistleblower alluding to capital punishment for treason. i agree these traitors must pay a heavy price, but it's certianly not the whistelblower. the administration and their puppets in congress must be held to account, especially congress. they have abdicated their responsibility to the institution of congress, which is objectively abject at best

any person who does not vote to impeach, and after this evidence is shown, any person who does not vote to convict, should be shown the f**k door next election. Trump has killed the GOP. i'm pretty sure the GOP has a monkey paw (which they got from some russians) which they wished upon

The GOP hasn't been killed, Galt. The party is its voters...and polls, even now, show very high support for trump among those voters. Maybe the GOP has been killed for you, a thinking human, but the vast bulk quite literally believe that this is all a hoax, a witch hunt, fake news, etc etc.

That, or they simply don't care. Which is far, far worse.

Facts don't matter. Truths don't matter. There are no longer consequences for actions. It doesn't matter what actually happens anymore. It doesn't matter what gets said...it just matters who says it. Truth has become subject to preference rather than reality.

The Republican Party is just fine. They've been successfully conditioning their voters for decades to believe in the Liberal Media Conspiracy...and now they get to reap the fruits of it...that being freedom from consequence or accountability re the voters.

Hell...if they've got their voter base locked down in an information bubble this effectively, the GOP is arguably at it's most potent point since before the '29 crash. Eventually, the outrage over trump will die down among the rest of the country and the GOP will be back to the status quo.
