Sure it is. How is it different?
Republicans exist to harm Americans. The entire point of the party is to do real, measurable harm to as many people as possible, for strictly ideological reasons.
That Romney momentarily put aside that ideology, and seems to have done this one thing for the good of the country, is very much like a homeless junkie returning that lost money. Well, objectively speaking, the average homeless junkie has done less harm than any Republican Senator. But still. It doesn't erase his conditions or past criminality or obvious corruption and graft. But it is still something to be praised on the rare occasion it occurs.
Still, you are right to say the bar has been set low. It certainly has. Every Republican president of the past forty years has been an unmitigated disaster.
