the scandinavian model of safety nets has created a situation where there are more billionares per capita in sweden than in america
this is because the scandinavian model for saftey nets means that everyone making over about 65K in the US would have 55% tax bracket, if following denmark's lead
Plus another 20% VAT tax
all of which impacts the poor and middleclass
bernie seems to be a bit delusional about what the scandnavian model is, thinking it was back when he was a middle aged man in the 60s. that economic model literally failed, and they had to make significant reforms. now employment is actually increasing but there is no longer significant controls on the economy, and like i said, they have more billionaires per capita
so if bernie wants to be honest, it would require tax burden on the middle class, not just the billionaires, in order to pay for the safety net
and "guaranteed job for all" is not scandinavian style democratic socialism -- it's soviet style. but maybe we'll get some of those literacy initiates from castro's cuba Bernie is fond of
look medicare for all, something we should be looking at doing. national rent control, job control, trade control, economy control? not in my america
so what are democrats doing? they are trying to put a reasonable candidate out there.
