that's a 0.13 - 0.27 % fatality rate instead of basing it off of reported cases in LA, which is 7.5% fatality rate

don't get me wrong, that's still a lot of people, but it would translate to only 426,600 - 886,140 deaths in the country as a whole, if we are completely infected. which yes, is more than who died in WWII, but it's far less than the 2% we were fearing. i'm not saying that this means we should open the country back up, but it is good news that only hundreds of thousands and not millions will die if this is the actual death rate

THAT SAID the strain in NYC may be more lethal. it came from europe where it apparently mutated
