Yeah, ex is right. Not only is the GOP screwed if they lose many seats this round of elections in 2022 there will be 22 GOP Senate seats up and only 12 dem. Mitch knows this - he's playing to the moderates right now saying there will be a peaceful transfer of power but this is the only game the GOP has going for them long term.
This virus actually pulls that reality forwards because it has dispersed people all over the country. If people stay where they've moved to it will help turn those purple states more purple or even blue.
So every election that can be contested will be. Make no mistake about it. Trump is just a part of the equation - he made all of this more probable. He got the extremes out in the public and this is the end result.
Trump's chances of winning the election diminish the closer we get to it. Over the past two weeks he's gone from 21 in 100 to 17 in 100 over at fivethirtyeight. His debate performance was abysmal and his contraction of the virus has cemented a decline amongst independents. I think he senses this...
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-heal ... SKBN26R0H2Trump just called off all stimulus talks with the Dems. He's now holding it as a carrot to his election again proving that he doesn't care about you, the economy, or anything other than his re-election chances. He is literally putting off the betterment of the economy to pursue his own endeavors. And the market is signaling that's no bueno.
Dude needs to burn.
