although, to be fair, i only was just passing through canada and i stayed mainly in 'Merica. and while it may be deemed "illegal" by some (including canada that wants to charge me 40 dollars for a remote access entry permit!), there is a treaty from 1909 that actually guarantees that "all navigable boundary waters shall forever continue free and open" so if any mounty found me i'd be making a case about it. dicks
