All of these points are good points, it's just that I watch TV to be entertained, on a purely visceral level. Very, very few TV shows that try to make me think are worth my time, with The Wire and some period pieces (i.e. Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men) as the exceptions. So that is my problem with Season 2. It wasn't entertaining. It wasn't informative, or intelligent enough to warrant the lack of suspense.

Season 2, in retrospect, was a necessary evil and I fault it less given that fact.
