Tony Kushner is the writer for Lincoln. He wrote Munich. It should be very good.

Never saw the new Indiana. Warhorse, meh. Pretty hilarious when the two soldiers from conflicting sides take a time out to untangle a horse from barbed wire in between the two trenches. Very realistic imo.

That scene was great. I just thought the film discredited its own subject matter with all the syrupy stuff. Its a movie about WW1, maybe the nastiest war in history, and it ended up dialed back for the kiddies. Make a WW1 movie or don't....but don't sanitize it.

I was being sarcastic. In no world are two soldiers from fighting armies going to walk casually into the open death field between the two trenches and have a little chat while untangling a horse from barbed wire. That scene was perhaps the best example of the syrupy stuff you mention.
