What is the appeal of baseball?

having grown up in a hockey town i'm used to watching it and following it. it's seriously just television that makes me hate the sport entirely.

yeah as far as actually attending a game i think hockey is the most fun for me. there's just so much energy. it's great.

If I could have a ticket to any sport I'd go NFL, unless we're talking post season, then it's baseball

Hockey is fun as shit live. Dads friend used to always get tickets from some client and they were right behind the goal. Was awesome man I loved it but yea it's lame as hell on tv I can't find the puck to save my life

Also I think your mileage may very depending on where you attend a game. I've been to some ballparks where it's seriously like everyone is just hanging out and people happen to be playing baseball. Not a lot of crowd energy in that. But at Phillies games it's a ton of energy and intensity. I went to a game this past summer and it started raining right before first pitch. I'd say about 90% of the crowd stayed for 3 hours of rain delay until the game was finally cancelled. The Phillies were in last place in the NL East at this point too.
