The coming superstorm

Thursday we went looking for a small generator.. Just big enough for a few lights, and the aquarium. It was an exercise in futility.. They were all gone.

Last year's Halloween storm most of the houses around us lost their power for 5-6 days, we didn't lose it at all... But saying that I'm sure I just jinxed it, so I'm going to wish I found a generator. Even if we lose it we have a natural gas stove, so we can eat.. That's all I care about..LOL

We're right in the Hudson Valley so we'll get the heavy rains, but we don't get the high winds they always predict when these storms come up the coast.

Anyway everyone else out there on the east coast, stay safe.

We're just gonna get nicked in Virginia, but it will still probably be enough to cause power outtages, make some flooding, and knock a few things over, if it's anything like the last Cat 1 that skirted us last year.

Taking all the usual precautions and preparations just in case (extra food, water, ice, bathtub full of water, getting generator ready, etc). Should all be going down for us by tonight/Monday.
