Good evening friends. I just ventured down to the waterfront at the East River so I can bring you the latest news on the ground.

The water level is rising. Winds are fierce. The front door of my building was so hard to open, I thought someone had barricaded it at first, but it was just the wind. When I got outside, the wind was to my back and I found it necessary to run rather than walk so as to keep my balance. All the storefronts have duct tape over their doors and bags of gravel piled in front. I saw a parked motorcycle blow over. Streets are deserted. Still no rain here though.
