I don't think Will Ferrell should be on a "best comedians" list if we're talking all time. Maybe best for the 2000s.

Truthfully, I think the "best" actors, singers, comedians, etc are only the best for a certain era. We don't find comedians from the 50s all that funny largely, yet some were icons of a generation. Take Lucille Ball, for example.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't invest a whole lot of time into comedy, so yeah, I am not all that familiar with the great actors, singers, comedians of the past. I guess I should preface this by saying "The Best In Your Opinion, Given The Current Timeframe Of Your Existence."

You bringing up Bill Murray makes me regret Will Ferrell. But only a little.

But when I consider the amount of times I've nearly died with laughter, Will Ferrell takes it. Bill Murray is good, but in a less visceral way.
