Might be cool if Star Wars went dark. Maybe let Ridley Scott take a crack at it. Or Christopher Nolan. SW has always had a fairly gritty, seedy atmosphere. Get some decent characters in there and let them so something less family freindly.
The first movie had bloody severed arms and main characters blowing people away. (Solo firedt first, godamnit!!!)
Worry less about the stupid kids and make a movie the general public will actually enjoy. Its not too late to rescue this thing, as opposed to...
....making a Disney movie out of it.
