This is a stupid f**k argument. If you can buy it at Walmart and every prole has one, then it's not in style. No one will think you are stylish or a trendsetter because you are wearing a peacoat. Personally I think they look great and I have a few, and I'm sure they will make a big comeback again where you are seen as fashion forward if you are wearing one, but that's not the case now.

Peacoats are a classic like three piece suits are a classic. But that does not mean they are in style. It's a winter wardrobe staple, but so is thermal underwear. Simply being popular does not make something in style (actually for most clothes I would argue the opposite is true). Stick to the walmart standard here.
