Btw after everyone's been enthralled by the Hearts vs Liverpool game in the Europa League tonight. There's the small matter of the El Classico at 9.30pm BST.

I'm a Liverpool fan but I've lost interest quite a bit over the past few years. living in China the games are usually on pretty late and I can't be bothered to stay up half the time. When I was younger in the mid 90s - early 2000s I used to see about half the home games at Anfield each year with my dad. It's got too expensive now so even when I'm back home we just watch on TV.

Also Since Chelsea with Abravomich and City with those Arabs it's just got stupid. Now you can go from shit to champions in a few years just because of a bunch of cash (actually I guess it kinda started with Blackburn).

I prefer the American draft system which keeps the playing field level. Wouldn't work in soccer though; too many leagues in too many countries.

I'm not really a football fan, but most of my friends are Wednesday-ites, sounds like they've had a good start to their first season following promotion. Who knows, could even be contenders for a spot in the Premier League by the end of the year.
