I was wondering; If you hired 100 people, put them in a building with everything needed to run a business (PCs, communications, servers, printers etc...), but gave none of them an idea what it is the company does, as in they have a job description but the "company " doesn't actually do anything or have any stated goal or area of expertise, would people in the company:
A. create profit and eventually guide the company into a real business niche purely through probability?
B. ride the gravy train and do nothing for as long as the money flows and spend the whole time wondering what it is the company does?
I suspect that people given higher roles would eventually push the company into a market, and that the market would be more or less random, and that the company would eventually become profitable.
