The guy was a suite, plain and simple, and the benefits of being president would have been a tremendous opportunity in building paths to more riches, both for himself and his class. I seriously think that is the only reason he was in it. We know he doesn't care about at least 47% of the people.

That being said, I think being fiscally conservative is far more intelligent than spending like a drunken sailor, particularly money that you don't have. But, there's no reason why compassion needs to be excluded from responsible spending.

What are we supposed to be debating? That saving money is less important than saving people's lives? Really?

BTW, it seems that the whole story of "cards being cancelled" comes from a single NBC blog posting. Not saying it's incorrect, but I usually prefer to see at least 2-3 independent sources before declaring something as fact.

The thread is about the tendencies of those who build the morality of their given political compass on the term fiscal conservatism. They're not just fiscally conservative, they are fanatics who think that zero debt is better than an effective welfare program.

I also read somewhere on election night after the results showed an Obama win Boehner and McConnell wouldn't take Obama's phone calls to them. If there is a more classless bunch of people then the current crop of Republicans please point them out to me..
