have you done any WvW?
that alone is worth paying for. and if you actually join a competitive guild with team speak WvW would be cocaine levels of addicting.

I've done a little bit, casually. I play in spurts now and then. I'm carefully avoiding getting really into it.
Which is actually a great strength of the game imo...its easy to come and go...and with no monthy subscription, it doesn't feel like I should be playing it.
