Abortion (as of yet) doesn't decide an election. Most people have an opinion about the issue but don't prioritize it if a war or the economy take center-stage. The pro-choice position has recently seen a revival, but historically opinions have altered back and forth so it's impossible to say.
Gay marriage is a losing issue for Republicans. They need to stop kissing far-right Christians' arse, but they won't for a few more years.
Same for their anti-science crap.
Republicans have also sucked recently at branding their economic policies as beneficial for the poor and lower middle class.
