Meh, he was a poor candidate and ran a incompetent, mistake prone campaign. The fact he got as far as he did just shows how much opposition there is to socialized medicine in this country. He did sort of redeem himself there at the end with the first debate but it was no where near enough to change what had come before during the campaign.

The other candidates were far worse but that doesn't show that conservatives need to abandon their positions it shows they need to find more attractive representatives. Imagining otherwise is just wishful thinking in my humble opinion.

They need to stop selling shit, rather than find a better shit salesman. Everyone can smell it regardless of the sales pitch.

Its the product that's the problem, not the poor bastard who has the unenviable job of trying to sell it.

Social conservatism is dinosaur nonsense. Anachronism. Ignorance. Excrement. Its not a valid direction to go in the 21st century. Things change. They're just going to have to cope.

That's your opinion. My point is half of the country doesn't share that opinion, so why should they review their platform because of the opinions of their enemies? That's wishful thinking.

They just need a good candidate. The conservative message still resonates with a lot of people. this country leans right. That's a fact.

Yes it is. The left is jumping up and down because Obama won, BARELY. They think that means this country is going full-on libtard. I think not. There is half of this nation that still believes in the conservative viewpoint, it's just up to the right to put forward a decent candidate that comes across as honest. Being a successful businessman is wonderful, coming across as someone honest is even better. Out of about 116,000,000 voters, only 2.6mil voted for Obama. That is less than 2 percent. By no means is that a slaughter. In fact, considering what a bozo Romney was, I would be scared if I was on the left. If the right puts up a decent candidate in 2016, he's a shoe-in.
