Lift the setting in as space ferngully and bar the resolution of the ending and the fact his 'post' has other people in it. Pretty much is the same story structure. you have the love intrest, you have the grumpy at first later befriending tough guy.
Ok also there's no actual wolf. Or is there, i haven't seen either in ages.
So maybe 3-4 differences.

it's not an original work, but pretty much no story is truly original to varying degrees. f**k, lion king is a BLATANT ripoff of a japanese movie. you'd have to have full blown asperger's to say it's a bad movie though. and i'm talking copyright lawsuit levels of ripoff.
