Extended universe sucks, its better they go with an original treatment, I heard the writers will base it on Lucas' original plan when he envisioned 9 movies.

Indy took a lot of stunts and stuff from the cliffhanger serials of the 1940's.

Whether or not the originals were marketed toward children, they appealed to children, and have been for children ever since. Of course, adults like them too now, but it still makes sense to gear the whole thing for kids.

Adult fans are going to go see the new movies. They'll bitch and moan about it because adult star wars fans have some kind of complex that makes them think it's their duty to document and complain about everything wrong with new films, but they'll go see it.

But it's the kids who will buy the toys, action figure, pajamas, lunchboxes....that is, only if they like the new stuff that comes out.


They've always been kids movies just like Harry Potter has always been for kids. That fact that some people have grown up and are still obsessed with them doesn't change that.

What was scary about the the first 2 movies?

BTW, as someone who watched all 6 for the first time as an adult, number 3 of the new series was definitely the darkest.
