You know shifting your argument to safer ground is fallacious. Specifically its called ignoratio elenchi.
That's what your doing here. So sorry, going to get into an irrelevant debate about current account balance.
I have presented you with a damning counter example, Banco Santander. The Spanish based international bank that, if it failed. Would be a utter disaster for the Spanish and a sizeable chunk of the worlds economy as its a MASSIVE company. Likewise, the mere fact they use a fiat currency in a largely eletronic and paper format in both countries, makes them just as vulnerable as a society to bank runs as anyone else doing the same. These are pretty basic facts of economics that run directly against everything you've so far said. Also the whole 'diffrent shops' shit was very lol wut, I can confirm to everyone else supermarkets exist and are heavily used in both countries. As much as anywhere else in europe. Yes there are still butchers and bakers, yet running their existence to the point of aruging they have fundementally diffrent economic-cultures, is exactly the sort of non-sequitor thinking i've pointed out.
Now if after this, you still really... really want me to dig out some hard econometric data I suggest two things.
1) We establish a debatable proposition that allows for proper quantifiable measurement.
2) You pony up first cowboy, as burden of proof is on the proposer. I'm just the critic. I gets to go second. Like chess, but with arguments and data.
This is up there with the bags of frozen cheese shit. AS Wiz pointed out, you've gone and mythologised the worlds 7th and 10th biggest economies into a mutalist fantasy. You've been called on this. End of really.
