Which would be the Hyperbole. Notice how I then go onto talk about foreign investment and future U.N based strategies. Which some what contextually implies im not talking about short periods of time.

anyway, we can quibble over this for ages, or we can engage with what was the actual point of the post.
Gaza is not economically viable. Either as a independent city state, or a enclave of a future Palestinian state. With or without the blockade.

To be fair, the future economic viability of Gaza shouldnt be a reason to oppose lifting the blockade. Will they get rich? No. But if played right, the West could ensure that Palestinians are receiving social services and medical care from moderates, rather than crazy Islamists. A step worth taking on its own merit, I would argue.
