he was assumed to be sick, too, well before his death. Israel would have little to gain from killing him as he still had a bit of control over Hamas. They wouldn't be so sloppy to do it in such a detectable way either, IMO.
If anyone did murder him, it would be his own people since he did extort them heavily. There were many among the high ranks hoping he'd die.
Em - that was only true in the arab world. He actually had a stroke, IIRC, but the illness that came prior was unknown. Lot of people in the West believed he had AIDS and it was being kept silent since that would be a big deal among Arabs. It's all conspiracies, not sure we should give credence to any of it.
