Unions, just like all things in this world, can and have been abused. There is nothing wrong with coming together for a common goal. The issue, in this particular case, is neither the company nor the union were at fault independently. The strike towards the end was undoubtedly the last straw to put the company under, which was really a poor decision.
We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will yet swell the chorus when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.
