I've sorta hit on this before as it applies to civil unrest. With things as "bad" as they are in the US why don't we see more civil unrest? because the people who would push such unrest, men between the ages of 16 and 50, are by-in-large, pretty happy. Women, and more specifically single mothers, are the ones who are suffering the most now-a-days.

Saz is totally on to something though, much of the incentive that Men had to be at our best is simply no longer applicable. In re our positive traits Men like building things and having things; building a family, building a business, having a wife, having kids, etc. The way our society and economy works now it's much harder to "build" and to "have". Indeed it's less and less necessary.

So without those social pressure that encourage those positive traits in male character we increasingly act on other traits, simply put we become more rougish.

I think its a topic worthy of discussion but the OP isn't clear as to what is being discussed or why in the post itself. If someone else wants to restart it and do so within forum guidelines, please do so.
