So you envision countries who are unwilling to cede soverignty to a limited-influence entity like the UN one day magically deciding to give up soverignty to a true global government? That doesn't make much sense. The more rational and intelligent perspective is that the UN and similar agencies lay the foundation for long term development of true global governance. Your vision of the world is naive and illogical.

Listing conflicts does nothing unless your metric is that any conflict suggests that the UN had failed. Is that your argument?

So to reiterate, the UN must have a 100% effectiveness rate in prveventung or ceasing conflict for you to feel it is a worthwhile organization? Just to make sure I'm understanding your argument correctly.

International law has been wildly successful in numerous areas. This is acknowledged by every learned observer of the institution. The fact that you are unaware of such successes tells me you haven't done your research. Which is hardly surprising.
