Heard Lincoln was boring.
Saw Skyfall it was okay, too little time with Berenice Marlohe. Seriously not to give anything away but she doesn't have that big a part in the movie. Other than that plot was rather predictable (no twist like Casino Royale), Javier Bardem was pretty good as a Joker-type villain, and emotional bond between M and Bond was barely passable given what preceded. Then as someone else put it there's the Home Alone scene which again provoked speculation as to why Bond wouldn't have another radio for a crucial moment, with predictable standoff where everyone who needs to die dies. Best part overall was the first meeting between Bond and Silva, very interesting homoerotic tension.
EDIT: I also agree with a previous poster that moral dilemmas were interesting and M's speech before the review commission was also a nice little intellectual turn that didn't take its audience as composed of complete idiots, despite other easy narrative devices and plot holes.
EDIT 2: Ok, skimming posts randomly in this thread and saw PoS's explanation for Bond's "mistake" not assuming Silva would bring bigger guns, which I'm willing to accept. Still ultimately there wasn't a twist in the overall narrative, although the choice of home battle ground was a new idea.
