Grazing my way through Infinite Jest right now. 90% confusion, 10% brilliant prose. These proportions change depending the mood I'm in, though.

Just finished Berlin Alexanderplatz and now watching the entire 14-part miniseries on DVD, jesus TMI...

I'm reading 'In Search of the Multiverse' all about parallel universes etc. Most of it goes right over my head unfortunately. 
I just read 'Johnson's Life of London' by Boris Johnson. That was very good I thought. 'The Rational Optimist' by Matt Ridley I also recently enjoyed. I don't really do much novels, except the other day I read 'Through the looking glass' during a car joyrney. That's one f**k up book.

Siddartha by Herman Hesse. Going on a German reading binge right now.

Reading the Aubrey/Maturin series by Pat Obrian. Masters and Commanders is one of my all time favorite movies, so decided to give it a shot.
Just finished Masters and Commanders. Just started Post Captain (2nd book out of 20).
Really good but you have to have a basic understanding (nomenclature) of 19th century vessels, in particular the sails and rigging. His descriptions of naval battles is flawless though.

Political books are usually slow reads. But this is not.
It confirms all of my wildest conspricacy theories about the alien lizard people, fema camps and how Wall street runs the nation and you, then gets you to beg for more.
I think you should read this.
