I thought the Patriot was a pretty entertaining movie, a little bit long perhaps (and not historically accurate) but I think it was Emmerich's best movie. What didnt you like about it?

I'm dividing my time between Sheridan le Fanu's collected ghost stories on my Kindle, and Dale Andrade's 'Trial by Fire', a history of the latter stages of America's involvement of the Vietnam War, as recommended to me by an American veteran of that conflict who told me that it is the most accurate account of what he was involved in he has ever read. Had to import my copy from the states via Amazon though...
