I cooked some pan roasted filets last night that came out awesome. I don't pan roast much, but it was too chilly to kick up the grill.

Roasted them with garlic, thyme, and some orange slices (stole that idea from a cooking show). They was damn good.....

i always put rice with tortillas. tortillas is just the mexican version of bread. all cultures have that shit, they eat it with everything. you can have potato dishes and still have bread on the side. at my parents i'm pretty sure every meal was served with bread. when i went over to this person's family's place for meals she had a mexican grandma that made fresh tortillas for every meal and it was amazing. it had rice with that, who cares it's fresh tortillas. they were so good i bought a tortilla press for myself (i am exceedingly adept at cooking things that are flat)

anyway, shoving rice and beans and all that inside a giant tortilla along with various meats, lettuces, tomatoes, onions, guacamoles, etc... so f**k good. tex mex that shit and you turn it up to 11
