The Labor participation rate was always going to decline because there are more elderly people retiring (boomers) than younger people entering the force. Now we're going to see dips again as people who were unemployed and gave up come back into the workforce and once they find jobs it will reverse itself.

Number of employed went up in October. It dropped last month only by 122k. Again, Sandy.

Employment is up nearly 3 million since the same month last year despite a lower participation rate.

Obama is planning to manipulate currency to bring more manufacturing jobs to the US. His administration is the first to declare that China is not a currency manipulator. There is no political motivation to do this unless the US is planning to do the same thing.

There is a difference between staying silent and publicly declaring that China is not manipulating it's currency. Staying silent would be the political stance if the US wanted to not offend. A public declaration shows ulterior motives.
