I think I wanted to make video games when I was 6. I didn't consider all the technical stuff, coding etc* that I would have to dedicate countless hours immersing myself in. At the time I more or less imagined that some kind of computer program would exist that would make creating the game as easy as imagining it. I remember I used to draw up "blueprints" for gaming systems I wanted to invent as well, but I always put so many bells and whistles on them that they ended up looking more like Rube Goldberg machines.
(*=??? I never actually learned the details of how games are made so I have no idea)
