I'm not sure how one can like Xmen Origins: Wolverine and not like The Avengers. Don't EVEN get me start on XO:Wolverine. I could write a 40 page review of all the things that were horrible in that movie.

I don't know anyone (except now one) that didn't like The Avengers. I mean it was a simple, fun, well-written summer blockbuster. Its not going to win best movie nor should it - but it was entertaining and thats all it promised to be. And the world seemed to agree...

And one thing that Avengers had that XO:Wolverine didn't? Character development. Every time you saw a new character in XO:Wolverine, they either died a few minutes later or you didn't see them again until the end of the movie or they never spoke. Kept talking about Logan's past which there wasn't much of really. In X2, Stryker said how nasty Logan's past was, yet nothing terribly traumatic happened save his GF dying - which no one gave a shit about because she only had like 10 minutes of air-time in the movie and the audience never even got to see her develop. She was more akin to a whore than anything else.

Even Avengers did better than this for a character that died in it - I heard people CRYING when he died and he wasn't even one of the main characters.

After watching the last 2 X-men movies, I won't be seeing any more of them in the theaters, that much I know.

And the predictable outcomes of nearly ever single part of XO: Wolverine. I would think you, of all people exploited, wouldn't have appreciated all of the tired cliches they used in the movie. The story wasn't even close to the comic books, yet everything was so predictable, I was watching the movie thinking "gee, have I already seen this?"
