to be fair to dylan, even though he's being an annoying little twit today, i know of someone in the airforce who shot his hand up drunk trying to take his gun back from a girl that took it from him
however, he's enlisted, not an officer. i've met no officer that i would ever think would do such a thing, even the guys i knew from college who were drunk more than sober and turned into officers when they left

The hero worship of soldiers that leads people like Spider to disbelieve anything that reflects poorly on them is a major problem. Hopefully he matures a bit and comes to accept reality, though I think he may be a lost cause. Time will tell.
