it's fairly average coffee. but as we know everyone on this site only drinks the finest beans shit out of an ocelot or whatever

Its cool and edgy to dog on Starbucks. I hardly ever go to Starbucks (1-3 times a year) but I wouldn't call their coffee crap. If it tasted like crap, it wouldn't be as popular as it is.

Everything's a matter of taste, of course.
But really, McDonalds is objectively awful. The fAct that a lot of people consume it does not make it good. Much more goes into consumption choices than product quality.

FWIW, I also find Starbucks coffee not that good. My wife loves it. Too acidic and bitter for me. I like a smoother roast.
Weird part is that I don't overly mind the extra-dark chicory stuff popular here in New Orleans. Though bolder, it's smoother.
