Easy. Just because something hasn't happened yet, or even in awhile, says nothing about its likelihood in the future
I find it naive of you to think a culture with such high levels of gun violence is incapable of using them politically.

Also, for every peaceful revolution, there are dozens of examples of peaceful revolution being crushed. So saying violent revolution is ineffective is just another blanket statement to be disregarded.

Serious talk of armed rebellion in the modern U.S. is idiotic. It's also possible that the KKK could initiate a second Civil War resulting in two separate nations (Union and Confederate), but just because it's in the realm of the possible doesn't mean that it's probable or that serious talk of it isn't crazy delusional.

Hey serious question guys...Why does this issue make so many people go apeshit? I mean, even considering political disagreements tend to touch nerves, this one is on a whole other level. We've had a ton of threads that have focused or touched on this topic over the past week, and I can't think of any other issue that has brought such animosity and mean spirited comments. There are some posters here who can't disagree without insulting, but this was much more widespread than just that group.

Not sure why debating gun control makes people lose their shit. I don't get it. Not an emotional issue to me at all.
