So I guess Rice was more like Clinton - a hard ass when it came to foreign policy and dealing with the world. Kerry on the other hand is a moral subjectivist and thinks all countries are equal.

Kerry will be confirmed. It's win/win for the GOP in that they got to wipe our Rice and now they can go after the Senate seat.

Kerry is a terrific choice. He will push for action in Syria and give the so-called realists a fight on every occasion.

He might clash with Obama on some things. Obama's a lot more of a hard ass on foreign policy than Kerry.
