Metal - anything from Alice in Chains to Slayer to Opeth to Black Sabbath

EDM - Old skool Jungle circa '93 onwards, old skool techno/trance not that modern ghey shite that all uses the same preset from Roland JP8080, deep dubstep (not skrillex), future Garage/Bass like Burial or Scuba, Techno such as Adam Beyer/drumcode type stuff.

Chill/Ambient/IDM - including Aphex Twin, Autechre, the Orb, Boards of Canada, Com Truise, dark ambient stuff like Lustmord, Atrium Carceri

Indie/Rock - I love old indie music from when I was a kid for example, Stone Roses, Primal scream, Pixies, Cocteau Twins, the Cure. Classic Rock also.

Classical - prefer the heavier dudes like Stravinsky (rite of spring is amazing) and Khachaturian but can dig a bit or Delibes Flower duet or some Bulgarian choral singing too. My knowledge on classical is a bit shaky, I know what I like, my old man is the classical Encyclopaedia of the family.

Hip Hop/Rap - Old Rap like Dre and Snoop, Dj Shadow, Bomb the bass, Beasties not really a fan of modern Rap.

Jazz - sampled in an old Jungle record great, otherwise, I admit it... I can't get my head around it (which I consider to be quite a failing)
