yeah try playing a game on three ticks or four ticks without pausing constantly to think about your actions. it's a f**k nightmare for multiple people and probably why they ahven't been in a rush to fix the metaserver. i'm alway up for some eu3 though.

here's a single example.

playing as the byzantine empire, if my emperor dies i have to pause and spend a good 30 minutes using diplomacy and intrigue options to deal with uppity vassals, prepare my armies for the inevitable revolts, etc. granted the byzantine empire i a shade more complicated than being, say, castille, but the same principle applies.

I'm playing with the price and the thane mod now, and yeah... Even as earl of Atholl. I can't see how mutiplayer would work.

Highly recommend this mod, it turns the feudalism up to 11. You can now demand new titles from the king and such, even if occasionally random lulz what moments occur.
